Stabilizing Systems
The Aspen UB50 is fitted with stabilizing systems which allow operators the advantage of being able to move the truck while the platform is deployed. OUTRIGGERS ARE NOT REQUIRED. A full-length subframe provides strength and stability. Axle locks unitize the chassis and truck axles. A counterweight at the base of the pedestal rotates with the unit, staying within the width of the chassis. An interlock system tied to the controls maintains operation within the unit's full range of stability. An indicator panel at the pedestal enables operators to constantly monitor boom and turret movements.
Smooth, Precise Control
7 individual control controls are provided which operate all boom and
rotation functions. Controls are proportional type which afford metered
movement in tight areas. Three (3) complete sets of controls are provided,
one at the truck, one in the platform and a remote set attached to an
extendible cord.
Overhead Capabilities
With an automatic platform leveling system standard, movements to a vertical
overhead position can be performed. The Aspen UB50 can reach 38' (11.6m)
vertically above the Bridge Deck.
Reach, Range and Maneuverability
Four boom pivot points and two points of rotation give the Aspen UB50
an incomparable ability to operate in, around, through and over all types
of obstructions. Even in close quarters, the Aspen UB50 can be deployed,
reaching across sidewalks and over fences to gain access to underbridge
areas. With the three-person platform installed, operators can reach up
and behind deep girders for thorough inspections. Because the vehicle
can be moved while the platform is under the bridge, the Aspen UB50 provides
even greater range and operating efficiency.

Options
• Extending 4th boom:
The platform is installed on
a 7'(2.1m) long 4th boom. An option extension can be included to increase
the vertical reach to 14'(4.2m)
